This is so wonderful! Is this from an embroidery transfer or a pattern that your great-grandmother made? Either way it’s a treasure!I am in the process of making a 50 states quilt tinted with crayon and embroidered in the form of postcards/stamps.

Connecticut is the Mountain Laurel. They are all in the woods around here.

Wow- that’s a fantastic treasure! I love things passed down through the generations! That is so neat that you and your daughters will get to see that hanging each day and remember her.
I have a necklace that my great-grandmother made and every time I wear it I think of her. I don’t know about passing it down though- I only have sons, and they won’t want to wear it! ;)
